Coventry City star Callum O'Hare is likely to be at the top of many clubs' shopping lists this summer.

Registering an impressive number of goals and assists since his return from a serious knee injury, the attacking midfielder was able to get over his long-term setback fairly quickly and make an instant impact for the Sky Blues.

Since registering a brace against Birmingham City back in December, it always looked as though he was going to enjoy a successful 2023/24 campaign following his return and he has been an integral part of Mark Robins' side once again.

The attacking midfielder has been so impressive since his move to the Coventry Building Society Arena and the only thing that has prevented him from securing a move away from the Sky Blues was his injury.

Now he's fully fit and back in action, he will have a point to prove to interested clubs ahead of the summer, and he will need to impress these teams to give himself the best chance of competing in the Premier League next term.

Coventry's chances of securing a play-off spot have taken a hammering in recent times - and with that - their chances of keeping O'Hare have surely been reduced with his contract expiring at the end of the campaign.

But others have also been linked with a move for him, including Burnley who are currently struggling in 19th in the Premier League.

The same HITC report back in January revealed Leicester City and Southampton as the other interested teams - but it remains to be seen which division all three are going to play in next season.

It's such a shame for the Clarets that they were unable to sign O'Hare last summer due to his injury - because he could have been a great fit at Turf Moor.

The Lancashire outfit saw Ashley Barnes leave, so they needed another number 10 to come in.

O'Hare could have been a starter with Anass Zaroury on the left and Manuel Benson on the right, but the latter two haven't been heavily involved under Vincent Kompany this term, with Alan Pace deciding to spend big instead.

This high spending hasn't worked out and as things stand, they are in 19th place and six points adrift of the drop.

It doesn't seem as though further sanctions are on the way for Everton and Nottingham Forest before the end of the campaign, so Kompany's side can't rely on that.

They can still stay up, but they have a mountain to climb with just five league games left to go this season.

Other interested sides, including Leicester and the Saints, could be on their way up with the latter re-establishing themselves as automatic promotion contenders in recent times.

With this in mind and the likelihood of the Clarets being relegated, the latter may feel like outsiders in this race for the midfielder now.

As a side with parachute payments, they may be able to offer a big wage, but it feels as though O'Hare will only leave for top-flight football considering how much he seems to love Coventry.

As well as this, there are no guarantees that Kompany's men will be promoted back to the top flight at the first time of asking, so a move to Turf Moor would probably be risky for him.

At Leicester, he could be a starting attacking midfielder in the top flight if both Wilfred Ndidi and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall leave, with the former out of contract at the end of the season.

And amid their financial woes, he could be a very useful free signing - and Russell Martin's Saints could also richly benefit from him as someone who can unlock defences.

Martin's side are known to be patient with the ball, but they need a creative spark like O'Hare to give themselves the best chance of having substance as well as style.
