Burnley, Leicester City and Southampton make O'Hare offers

According to their report, Coventry City are now facing an "almighty battle" to keep hold of their star player ahead of the February 1st transfer deadline.

Indeed, in recent days, the likes of Leicester, Southampton and Burnley were all said to be monitoring O'Hare's situation, but the HITC report goes further.

It is now claimed that Burnley have now made an offer to bring O'Hare to Turf Moor and the Premier League.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, it is claimed that both Leicester City and Southampton have submitted bids of their own for the player.

Of course, all of this comes against the backdrop of Callum O'Hare's current contract situation at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

The Sky Blues star's current deal expires at the end of the season, meaning that he is now technically free to sign a pre-contract agreement with another side ahead of a summer move.

This also means that the January transfer window could be the last opportunity that Coventry gets to cash in on their star man.

Sky Blues boss Mark Robins insists, though, that the club have made a strong offer to the attacking midfielder to extend his stay in the Midlands.

“He’s been made a really good offer and then it’s down to him his family’s representatives to decide what his future holds, but I don’t think any pressure shouldn’t be put on him," Robins told the Coventry Observer.

“He should just be allowed to get on with his work and what he’s doing is, he’s knuckling down, and he’s focused on what he’s got to do and trying to help us to where we want to get to this season.”

“I wouldn’t rule anything in or out," Robins added on O'Hare's future, via CoventryLive.

"And the last question you asked [whether O'Hare is most likely to leave for free in the summer as opposed to a fee in January] is way above my pay grade so, ultimately, I’ll be told at some point if that’s the case.

“I’m hopeful that we can have him sign a contract.

"Is that realistic? I think it’s 50-50 if I’m honest, so again, it’s up to him."

Coventry City are next in action on Friday night as they take on Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup Fourth Round.
