According to a report by L’Équipe, Burnley FC are in discussions with OGC Nice for Jordan Lotomba (25). The Swiss defender has only one year left on his contract and Get French Football News understands that Nice would be open to sale.
Lotomba arrived in Nice in 2020 from BSC Young Boys for a €7 million fee. The right-back has made 143 appearances in that time and even earned a call-up to his national team in 2020 and was part of the squad that reached the quarter-finals of the rescheduled 2020 Euros.
However, the defender failed to earn a place back into the squad for this summer’s Euros after a somewhat disappointing 2023/24 campaign. The defender managed to make 28 appearances after Lotomba, by default, found himself as the first-choice at Nice towards the end of the season.
Despite this, interest has remained high in the defender and Burnley are not the only English club that have looked at Lotomba this summer. Earlier in the window, Crystal Palace were reported to have been interested in forging a deal for the Swiss international.
