Ayman Kari has been the subject of both a transfer offer and a contract offer from Scott Parker's Clarets.
Burnley have made a €750,000 offer to secure the signature Paris St-Germain midfielder Ayman Kari.
This is according to Foot Mercato, who also believes the Clarets have made a contract offer to the player, as they look to beat other teams to his signature.
The Lancashire side haven't been afraid to invest in young players in recent years, even though they have endured mixed fortunes with this recruitment.
The signing of CJ Egan-Riley has paid off eventually, with the ex-Manchester City player becoming a key part of the first team under Scott Parker.
Wilson Odobert was also a very good signing, with the player being sold to Tottenham Hotspur during the previous window for a handsome profit during the previous window.
And James Trafford has also been a real asset this term, even if he didn't enjoy the best campaign last season.
In terms of the business they have done this window, they have looked to bring in a couple of experienced heads, with Ashley Barnes and Jonjo Shelvey both joining on free transfers.
24-year-old Oliver Sonne also joined to strengthen their full-back department, but their business may not be done during this window, with another player now believed to be on their radar.
According to Foot Mercato, the Clarets have offered PSG a fee in the region of €750,000 as a compensation fee for Kari, with a 35% sell-on clause included.
The same outlet have reported that the English club has offered the player a four-and-a-half year contract, which would see the midfielder stay at Turf Moor until the summer of 2029.
Kari's game time at a senior level has been limited during his career, but he did spend last season on loan at Lorient, impressing during his temporary spell away from the Parc des Princes.
Han-Noah Massengo hasn't really been a success with the Clarets and they may be wary that Kari could fare similar if he makes the move to Turf Moor.
However, at just 20, the PSG man already has some senior experience under his belt and has impressed in the past.
If the Clarets go up, they may have to loan him out so he wins more game time.
But he could turn out to be a very shrewd addition.
