The Championship side do face rivalry for his signature, though, with two Turkish clubs also interested in securing his services.

Indeed, as per the above report, Sivasspor and Konyaspor, both from the Turkish Super Lig, are also keen.

This season, Youssef Ait Bennasser has made 14 appearances for Adanaspor in the Turkish second division, scoring one goal and registering four assists.

Prior to his move to Turkey, the Moroccan midfielder played his football in France, and was on the books with AS Monaco, Saint Etienne and Bordeaux throughout various stages of his career.

Yes No

Ait Bennasser also has 23 international caps for Morocco, although, he was not part of their World Cup adventure to the semi-finals, and has not played for his country since 2019, as per Transfermarkt.

It’s hard to know what to make of this one to be honest.

I’ve not seen a lot of Youssef Ait Bennasser, but given the clubs he has played for, it does seem to suggest he must have some level of talent.

However, the fact he has not represented his country for three years is a concern, as is the fact he has gone from Ligue 1, down to the second tier of Turkish football.

Perhaps though a move to Burnley could be the kickstart to his career that he needs.

Only time will tell with this one, I think.
