Burnley have announced the arrival of Scott Parker as their new manager.
The Englishman takes the mantle from Vincent Kompany, who left to join Bayern Munich last month after failing to keep the Clarets in the Premier League.
Parker has been promoted during previous stints with Fulham and Bournemouth, and will be tasked with repeating that trick with his new outfit, where he has been handed a three year deal.
“I’m really pleased to be here!," Parker told the club's official website. "I have been speaking with Burnley for some time now which has been a positive thing as I’ve now got a real feel for the people around the club.
Will he be able to get Burnley back up at the first time of asking?
