Burnley and Newcastle United both continued their unbeaten runs in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division.
NORTHERN PREMIER DIVISION

Seven-goal Newcastle stayed five points clear watched by a crowd of over 2,000 who saw Katie Barker hit a hat-trick, Burnley came from behind to win at fourth-placed Wolves with a Leah Embley strike and the Clarets still have a game in hand on the leaders. Nottingham Forest moved further clear of Wolves when defeating West Brom. Stourbridge moved into the top half of the table, overtaking Stoke City who lost at next-to-bottom Huddersfield Town whose Beth Ibbotson got the decider. Derby went 2-1 up against Liverpool Feds late on but the game was abandoned when County’s Megan Tinsley dislocated her ankle.

SOUTHERN PREMIER DIVISION

Hashtag United remained top by three points with a 3-2 win at MK Dons thanks to a stoppage-time own-goal, Portsmouth substitute Ali Hall got the only goal at Billericay. Third-placed Rugby Borough scored four at Cheltenham, Oxford United are level on points with fourth-in-the-table Ipswich Town, where Vita Budaieva made a late breakthrough before the hosts had a player sent off. There were away draws for the bottom two; Chatham sharing six goals with Plymouth and London Bees holding Cardiff City Ladies.

Solihull Moors held leaders Loughborough Lightning away from home, Boldmere St Michaels leapfrogged Peterborough United into second place by beating them 2-1. Sporting Khalsa climbed to fourth with five goal at Notts County, Northampton Town slipping behind them on goal-difference after defeat at Leek Town.

Emily Pierrepont bagged a crucial brace as Barnsley WFC saw off Chester le Street 5-3 to move six points clear. Middlesbrough are level on points with second-placed Hull City whom they beat 2-0. Leeds United are fourth following a 4-2 victory over Doncaster Rovers Belles, Durham Cestria closed in on fifth-placed Stockport County whom they won 2-1 away to.

AFC Wimbledon led QPR 1-0 at the break but ran out 7-2 victors as Ashlee Hincks enjoyed a five-goal haul, the Dons stepping three points clear of second-placed Norwich City. Worthing gained ground on the Canaries, AFC Sudbury won a seven-goal thriller, Actonians were victorious on the road and there was just a fourth point gained by Haywards Heath.
DIVISION 1 SOUTH WEST

Exeter City’s tenth straight win came at Swindon Town, as they replaced AFC Bournemouth in pole position. Maidenhead and Portishead both won away for their third victories of the campaign.
