The DFL have secured about €1.121 billion per season in domestic TV rights for the next four seasons, as “Kicker” has previously reported. That means a modest increase of around 2% compared to the previous contract.
Across four years, this totals roughly €4.484 billion, excluding international rights and other income sources. But how does this amount of money get distributed to all clubs in Germany's top two leagues? It's easily explained in “4 pillars of distribution”.
The Bundesliga’s 2025/26 TV money distribution preserves the balance of sporting merit and solidarity while introducing greater support for youth and fan engagement.
While giants like Bayern and Dortmund continue to dominate earnings, the system offers smaller clubs more stability and encourages broader league growth, marking a nuanced evolution in German football’s financial landscape.
