The €1.346 bn will then be split amongst the Bundesliga sides based on several criteria. 50% of the money is split equally, meaning each of the sides receives €25.5m, then 43% is divided based on sporting performance over the past five to 10 years. The remaining 4% is based on the use of young players, and the final 3% is based on the interest in the clubs.

There is also money from the international deal, which is substantially smaller, that will also be added to the total of the teams.

The top three earners are: Bayern Munich (€83.4m), Borussia Dortmund (€78m) and Bayer Leverkusen (€75m). The lowest earners will be newly promoted Hamburg, who will earn a total of €31.4m.
