This week’s results may have started to show how the Bundesliga is beginning to take shape this season but we were once again treated to some stunning goals and dramatic comebacks. Here is the team of the week for round twelve.
Goalkeeper: Koen Casteels- Wolfsburg
Produced eight saves for his team, including six saves inside the box as he massively helped Wolfsburg pick up a big three points.
Left back: Max Mittelstadt – Stuttgart
His pinpoint floated cross to Undav provided the match winning goal and he also made big defensive contributions by making five tackles, five interceptions and two clearances.
Centre back: Edmilson Fernandes – Mainz
Provided an assist as well as gaining a clean sheet which he was vital in by making seven clearances, four interceptions and six tackles.
Centre back: Patrick Mainka – Heidenheim
The captain played an important role in helping his side keep a clean sheet.
Right back: Jeremie Frimpong – Bayer Leverkusen
Produced another goal from the wing back position, taking his tally up to four goals already this season.
Left midfield : Jamie Bynoe-Gittens – Borussia Dortmund
Continuously drove at the Gladbach defence and ended up being the match winner for Dortmund with a neat finish.
Centre Midfield: Leon Goretzka – Bayern Munich
A comfortable looking display from Goretzka who controlled the game throughout.
Centre midfield: Granit Xhaka – Bayer Leverkusen
Orchestrated the possession for Leverkusen in an impressive attacking display and comfortable win.
Right Midfield: Marco Richter – Mainz
Showed great pace and composure to poke the ball into the bottom corner for the opening goal of the game and was causing the biggest threat in the Mainz team.
Striker: Deniz Undav – Stuttgart
Two goals were scored by Undav, who is starting to hit top form for Stuttgart.
Striker: Niclas Füllkrug – Borussia Dortmund
Scored a fantastic looping volley to level the game for Dortmund and is now becoming an important part of the team.
