Bundesliga record players: Baumann moves into top 50

Oliver Baumann has long been a TSG legend – and now the goalkeeper has joined a very select group of football players. By playing against FC Schalke 04, he has become one of the Bundesliga's top 50 all-time appearance-makers. The TSG Hoffenheim shot-stopper has already made 420 appearances in Germany's top flight. The Schalke game has carried the 32-year-old above the likes of Bundesliga legend Berti Vogts and he could yet surpass Franz Beckenbauer (424) before the season is over.

Oliver Baumann has made 289 Bundesliga appearances in a TSG Hoffenheim shirt. That also makes the TSG captain Hoffenheim's record player ahead of Sebastian Rudy (288). Manuel Neuer (478) and Thomas Müller (434) are the only current Bundesliga players to have made more appearances.
