Enzo Le Fée’s (23) decision to leave Lorient a year before his contract expiry in 2024 has not gone unnoticed in Germany, according to a report from Foot Mercato.

The Frenchman, who was linked with a move in the January transfer window to Bournemouth – with whom Lorient now share a stakeholder – had explained this week that he was expecting a contract extension offer from his formative club, which never came. Now, he says, he is no longer expecting anything from the club and has no intention of extending his stay in Brittany beyond next summer.

Lorient now need to sanction Le Fée’s transfer in order to raise funds. Foot Mercato report that the Brittany outfit have set a €25-30m price tag on their prized asset, with interest brewing in Germany. The outlet adds that Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt are in the running to sign the French U21 international. First meetings are said to have already taken place and the player’s entourage has also been contacted. It now remains to be seen whether Le Fée’s suitors will match Lorient’s valuation.
