Not only are transfer fees rising, but the expenses for the players’ advisors and agents are as well.

In a report published by the German Football League (DFL), it was revealed that Bundesliga clubs paid €198m to agents and intermediaries between March 2017 and March 2018.

The difference between the top flight and second tier was considerable, with clubs from 2. Bundesliga paying just €14m.

Bundesliga clubs recorded a sharp increase, paying €146m from the previous year, while 2. Bundesliga clubs decreased from €18m.

Agent fees continue to be a topic of concern with Premier League and La Liga clubs paying over €400m in the last 12 months alone.
