Hertha Berlin have submitted a bid of €13 million for Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic, according to publication Abolapt, as cited by Twitter account @Watch_LFC.

Liverpool signed Grujic from Red Star Belgrade for a transfer fee of €7 million back in 2016.

However, Grujic has not been given much of an opportunity to play for the club. The midfielder has only made 16 appearances for Liverpool’s first-team.

Grujic was loaned out to Porto last season. The 25-year-old performed reasonably well during his loan spell.

Grujic averaged a WhoScored player rating of 6.67 across the 2020-21 campaign.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

If Hertha Berlin have submitted an offer of €13 million for Grujic, we believe that the club should accept the bid.

As we have already pointed out, Grujic is surplus to requirements at Anfield. Liverpool are not short of options in midfield (Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara and Naby Keita).

The 25-year-old possesses a current market value of €15 million.

Therefore, Liverpool should accept Hertha Berlin’s offer of €13 million for Grujic. Of course, we are still unsure on how true the aforementioned report is. Only time will tell.
