Arsenal welcome Everton to the Emirates and after 45 minutes, have a comfortable lead thanks to the quick thinking of Bukayo Saka
It looked as though the Gunners would need some tinkering at half-time until the 21-year-old rifled the ball into the top of the net at Jordan Pickford’s near post just before the break.
Saka then stripped Idrissa Guana Gueye of the ball and teed up Gabriel Martinelli for 2-0 five minutes later.
He now has now been directly involved in 19 Premier League goals after 25 games (10 goals, nine assists).
Only four other players across Europe’s top five leagues have 9+ goals and assists as he has: Lionel Messi, Neymar, Randal Kolo Muani and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
He’s also now the sixth-youngest to hit 50+ goals and assists after the like of Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney and others.
Having lost the reverse fixture away to Everton, manager Mikel Arteta will love what he’s seeing from his young star.
Shine bright, Saka, shine bright!
