Bukayo Saka scored a screamer for Arsenal against Manchester United before doing Marcus Rashford’s celebration.

Just eight minutes into the second half, Saka cut inside on his left foot and fired an unstoppable effort past David de Gea from outside of the penalty area.

If that wasn’t enough, Saka then went and celebrated just like Marcus Rashford by pointing to his head.

Rashford had given Manchester United the lead in the 17th minute with a similarly brilliant strike into the same corner past Aaron Ramsdale.

The Manchester United forward nutmegged Thomas Partey before letting rip from 20 yards out.

It flew in and Rashford went over corner flag in front of the Arsenal fans and did his now trademark celebration.

Arsenal did equalise through Eddie Nketiah seven minutes later and the two title-chasing sides went into the break all level.

But it was Saka’s strike that put Arsenal into the lead – and he rubbed Rashford’s face in it.

But Arsenal’s lead didn’t last long as Lisandro Martinez looped a header into the back of the net to equalise.

Will Arsenal win the title?

Arsenal went into the match knowing they could go back five points clear of Manchester City with a game in hand.

Earlier in the day, City had beaten Wolves 3-0 thanks to Erling Haaland’s hat trick. It reduced the gap to two points following City’s dramatic comeback victory over Tottenham on Thursday.

United themselves went into the match believing they too were in a title race.

They may have dropped two points against Crystal Palace on Wednesday but their victory in last weekend’s Manchester derby gave them hope.

However, they arrived at the Emirates eight points behind their opponents having played a game more. They really needed to come away with all three points.

Neville: Man Utd aren’t in title race

But before the match, Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville insisted his former side weren’t in the title race.

“I don’t think they (Man Utd) are (in the mix for the title),” Neville said.

“I think they’re short compared to other teams. They are a little bit short upfront.

“You think about Weghorst coming in, he was a stop gap.

“The others seem to have more firepower, but United, from where they were at the start of the season, are in a really good position.”

Neville’s former teammate, Roy Keane, also doesn’t think Erik ten Hag’s side have enough to win the league.

“United have had a difficult start to the season, it’s great to see their recovery,” Keane said.

“They are still behind Arsenal in terms of the level of performances and of course the points total.”

Neville: Arsenal will finish third

After Arsenal beat Tottenham last week, Neville insisted the Gunners will actually finish third this season.

“They won’t win the league. Manchester City will win the league, and I think Man Utd will finish second, and I know that will annoy Arsenal fans!

“I’d rather Arsenal win the league than Man City. I think it would be absolutely sensational for the Premier League.

“I think about watching the Premier League, we’ve seen City sweep up, apart from Liverpool, over the past five years.

“To think Arsenal could come and win it, it adds to our league, it makes our league great.

“I’d love Man Utd to win it, but I don’t think that’s going to happen this season.”
