Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante will not, after all, face suspension.

The Giallorossi player was recently at the center of speculations due to a blasphemous expression during Roma-Juventus on Sunday night.

Cameras caught Cristante supposedly engaging in blasphemy – which is frowned upon in Serie A.

The Federal Prosecutor’s Office brought this forth to the Serie A sporting judge for a verdict ahead of the next matchday between Roma and Atalanta.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the lack of audio evidence will not permit the sporting judge to suspend the Roma midfielder who will thus remain available for Sunday’s showdown in Bergamo.

Cristante had already been suspended for blasphemy in the past, in 2020 in the match against Bologna. He was punished by getting disqualified for the subsequent match with Torino.
