Scorers: Fernandes 7′, 19′, Rashford (pen) 35′, James 90+3′; Turuc 75′

Manchester United returned to winning ways after beating Istanbul Başakşehir 4-1 at Old Trafford.

Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring with a rasping half-volley after just seven minutes, before pouncing on a goalkeeping error to score his and United’s second.

Marcus Rashford made it three shortly after, scoring a penalty after he was clumsily brought down by Boli Bolingoli.

Deniz Turuc netted a consolation for the visitors late on after catching out David de Gea with a smart free kick, with Dan James adding a fourth in injury time.

Scorers: Dest 52′, Braithwaite 57′, 70′, Griezmann 90+3′

Barcelona enjoyed a comfortable evening in Ukraine after beating Dynamo Kyiv 4-0 at the Valeriy Lobanovskyi Stadium.

Despite Barça dominating possession, they struggled to create anything with the hosts looking dangerous when breaking forward.

But the LaLiga giants eventually went ahead through Sergiño Dest – who became the first American to ever score for the club.

Martin Braithwaite then added a quick-fire brace, before Antoine Griezmann finished smartly to make it four in injury time.

Scorers: Uzuni 19′; Ronaldo 35′, Morata 90+3′

Juventus left things late after overcoming underdogs Ferencváros 2-1 at the Allianz Stadium.

The visitors went ahead through Myrtle Uzuni who showed good determination to get ahead of Juan Cuadrado and finish.

But Cristiano Ronaldo levelled proceedings with a clinical left-footed strike from 25 yards.

After huffing and puffing, Juventus finally found their winner through Álvaro Morata, who powered home a header in injury time.

Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 RB Leipzig

Scorers: Neymar (pen) 11′

Paris Saint-Germain earned a valuable win in Group H after edging past RB Leipzig 1-0 at the Parc de Princes.

The Parisians went ahead after just 11 minutes, when Neymar slotted home a penalty after being fouled by Marcel Sabitzer.

But from that point forward, RB Leipzig took control and were the much better side – just lacking any finishing touch.

The Bundesliga outfit carried on pushing but couldn’t find an equaliser – with PSG the much happier side at full time.

Dortmund 3-0 Club Brugge

Scorers: Haaland 18′, 60′, Sancho 45′

Borussia Dortmund enjoyed a comfortable night after cruising past Club Brugge 3-0 at the Westfalenstadion.

Erling Haaland opened the scoring with a typically precise finish, before Jadon Sancho whipped home a stunning free-kick on the stroke of half-time.

Haaland then grabbed his second after firing another clinical volley past visiting goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

Unfortunately for the record books, 16-year-old Youssoufa Moukouko wasn’t brought off the bench by Lucien Favre.

Lazio 3-1 Zenit

Lazio continued their unbeaten run in the Champions League after beating Zenit 3-1 at the Stadio Olimpico.

Ciro Immobile opened the scoring in emphatic fashion – curling home from 20 yards – before captain Marco Parolo added a second from long range.

Zenit found a way back into the game after Artem Dzyuba fired past Pepe Reina, only for Immobile to restore their two-goal lead from the penalty spot.

Rennes 1-2 Chelsea

Scorers: Hudson-Odoi 22′, Giroud 90+2′; Guirassy 85′

Chelsea secured Champions League group stage progression in dramatic circumstances after beating Rennes 2-1 at Roazhon Park.

After Timo Werner missed an early sitter, the Blues went ahead through Callum Hudson-Odoi who finished well after some brilliant individual play from Mason Mount.

But Rennes pushed back and went close through Sehrou Guirassy and Hamari Traoré, but Édouard Mendy was up-to task against his former club.

The hosts continued to push and deservedly equalised late on through Guirassy, only for super-sub Olivier Giroud to power home an injury time header to earn victory.

Krasnodar 1-2 Sevilla

Sevilla also booked their place in the Champions League knockout stages after beating FC Krasnodar 2-1 in frantic late fashion.

The LaLiga outfit were ahead after just four minutes, with Ivan Rakitić displaying immaculate technique to fire home an awkward half-volley from 20 yards.

After a tightly contested first half, Krasnodar came out firing and almost equalised through Rémy Cabella – only for Jules Koundé to save his goal-bound effort off the line.

They did eventually make their breakthrough through Wanderson, before Munir El Haddadi sparked pandemonium for the visitors after drilling home a 95th minute winner.
