Bruno Guimarães signs new long-term Newcastle deal

Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimarães has put pen to paper on a new five-year deal with the club.
The 25-year-old has extended his stay at St.James’ Park until 2028 having become a fan favourite since his move from Lyon in January 2022.
The Brazilian played his part in the sensational 4-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday, his 67th appearances for the Magpies.
In that he has netted 11 goals, helping the club qualify for Europe’s elite competition for the first time since 2003.
Speaking to NUFC.co.uk, Guimarães said: “I’m absolutely delighted. The fans have made me feel at home since my first day here and I feel so loved in my life.
“It’s a place that is so comfortable to be and I hope to keep making the supporters happy and helping the team do well.
“That’s my goal, because there are no words to describe how happy I am to be here.”
