Bruno Fernandes: We believe in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Bruno Fernandes has reiterated that the Manchester United squad is firmly behind manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

After three games in the Premier League without a win, United found themselves trailing by two goals at half-time against Atalanta at half-time. It was only a matter of time before the Reds turned things around for the better, though, as they stormed back into the game after the break and won 3-2.

However, that does not take away from the pressure Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under at the moment. The manager received more criticism for his selection and the team’s first half performance.

With Liverpool coming to Old Trafford on Sunday, Fernandes has stressed that the players are behind Solskjaer.

The midfielder was speaking TNT Sports after United’s midweek win: “Of course, obviously, he is our coach. We follow him every day. We show that. We follow his ideas and we will continue to do so.

“Of course, obviously, he is our coach. We follow him every day. We show that. We follow his ideas and we will continue to do so.

“We believe in our coach and our staff. We need to do what the coach tells us because our coach is the maximum exponent of what we must respect. He has been here for three years and we’ve done good things. It’s true that we haven’t won anything up to now, but the team has shown it has grown a lot.

“We have a lot to improve on and the coach also knows there has to be some improvement at their end but that is part of football.”

Getting United’s Premier League form back on track

Beating Liverpool on Sunday will be an almighty task, but there is no point denying that we have to players to get a positive result.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were lucky to beat La Liga champions Atletico Madrid in their Champions League outing this week – with a number of mistakes made in defence proving it is not only United who are prone to costly errors.

The problem we have already in these early stages of the season is being five points adrift of Premier League frontrunners Chelsea. We need to win this weekend.
