Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has refused to take credit for turning around the club’s fortunes, insisting the club itself sets its own standards.
The Portuguese magician is often attributed with being the catalyst for the club ever since he arrived last January.
United were then struggling and appeared to be on their way to yet another finish outside of the top four.
However, thanks to Bruno’s inspiring form, the team managed to go on remarkable unbeaten runs and ended up finishing the season in third place.
The Red Devils also bounced back this season and currently find themselves surprisingly leading the pack, with the former Sporting Lisbon man in fine form once more.
Bruno may feel this way but with the way his teammates have spoken about him and the reports that came out of Carrington, it’s clear to see his impact is bigger than he cares to admit.
Nonetheless, fans will just hope he can keep leading the team to glory, whether he takes credit for it or not.
For starters, Bruno can help United overcome their fierce rivals Liverpool later today by defeating them in what will be a crucial fixture in the title race, even if it’s still early on.
