Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has suffered an up-and-down season, in what has been a difficult campaign for everyone connected to the club.

With Champions League qualification for next season surely now out of reach coupled with an embarrassing early exit from Europe, United have underperformed badly this year.

However, the skipper has provided some special individual moments by scoring some outstanding goals, including a recent 40-yard stunner against Liverpool.

As reported by The Sun, the penchant for the sublime on a football pitch clearly runs through the Fernandes family.

Bruno’s brother, Ricardo, scored his own wonder goal at the weekend, helping his side Roffey FC to a Southern Combination Premier League win against Seaford Town.

Ricardo latched onto a long ball just inside Seaford’s penalty box before throwing the left-back a dummy to allow him an effort on goal.

What followed was a stunning finish with the outside of his right foot that nestled into the top corner to put Roffey into the lead on the day.

It was a lead they would double later in the game to secure a 2-0 success which gives them a 14-point cushion at the top of the Southern Combination table.

Ricardo enjoys a slightly more humble life than his younger sibling, who couldn’t hide his pride, posting the goal on his social media with the clapping emoji.

The duo bear a remarkable resemblance to each other in looks and Ricardo also plays in midfield for his side as well as wearing the captain’s armband.

Ricardo works for the NHS as well as representing Roffey and looks like he will finish the season with a league title, unlike Bruno who has been a far cry from challenging at the top of the league this year.

However, United are still in the FA Cup and will be bidding to reach back-to-back finals in the competition when they take on Coventry City on Sunday.

Another Fernandes wonder strike would be a welcome one at Wembley with United desperate to salvage something from what has been a disappointing campaign for the side from Old Trafford.
