Bournemouth attacker Jamal Lowe is reportedly not a Bristol City target this month despite suggestions to the contrary.
The Robins were named as one of a host of Championship clubs interested in the 28-year-old alongside Millwall, QPR, Norwich City, and Ipswich Town.
Lowe has found opportunities hard to come by at the Vitality Stadium this term, playing little more than 100 minutes in total in 2022/23, and may fall down the pecking order further if new signings arrive this month.
The R’s are said to be leading the race for him (Sky Sports Transfer Centre (09/01, 17:51)) and there has been an update concerning Bristol City’s interest.
Richard Forrester from Bristol Live has claimed that the Bournemouth player is not a target that the South West club are pursuing this month.
Lowe has proven his quality in the second tier in the past – registering double figures in goals for Swansea City and helping the Cherries win promotion last term – but goalscoring has not been a problem for the Robins this term as Nigel Pearson has Nahki Wells, Tommy Conway, Antoine Semenyo, and Andi Weimann to choose from up top among others.

The Verdict
It appears City are not one of the Championship clubs pursuing a deal for Lowe this month.
Pearson has hinted previously he’s interested in an attacking maverick that can influence games but it appears the out-of-favour Bournemouth man is not on the Robins’ radar right now.
That could well change if in-demand forward Antoine Semenyo departs before the window closes but given the reported competition for Lowe at the moment, he may not be available for long.
