Barry Douglas

Bristol City face an uphill battle to sign the full-back as another competitor entered the race.

Reports from the Scottish Sun have claimed that Italian side Brescia are now contenders to sign the 31-year-old after offering the player a contract that would see him move to Serie B.

With the Robins joining Rangers and Celtic in the hunt, it’s going to be interesting to see where the former Leeds man ends up after leaving Elland Road at the end of his contract.

Josh McPake

Bristol City face a nervous wait as Glasgow Rangers open talks with the midfielder over a new deal.

According to reports from Football Insider, the 19-year-old is in discussions over a three-year contract that will see him commit his future to Steven Gerrard’s for the long-term.

Both the Robins and Queens Park Rangers have been credited with an interest in the player, while the likes of Doncaster Rovers, Morecambe, Motherwell, Oldham Athletic and Tranmere Rovers are also said to be keen.

McPake is no stranger to the EFL after spending time on loan with Harrogate Town where the winger scored four goals in 23 appearances for the club.
