Bristol City centre-back Timm Klose has acknowledged their away clash against West Bromwich Albion this evening will be a tough one for his side but believes they could cause the Baggies problems if they are on top form, speaking to the Robins’ media team.
Tonight’s hosts have suffered an extremely poor start to the season, with the club sat in the relegation zone at the time of Steve Bruce’s dismissal last week and failing to live up to expectations as a side previously tipped to be in the promotion mix.
However, they put in a much-improved display against Reading at the weekend, playing with freedom under caretaker boss Richard Beale and claiming a deserved 2-0 victory at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

A permanent successor for Bruce is yet to be appointed but judging by their performance at the weekend, they could be a real force under Beale tonight as Albion look to impress in front of their home supporters.
Nigel Pearson’s side, meanwhile, have won just one of their last seven league games and haven’t enjoyed the most successful time away from home so far this term.
Central defender Klose is aware of the tough assignment his side faces tonight, with three points potentially crucial in getting the Robins back on track.
He said: “It is always a difficult place to go.
“I remember many games there where it was tight and they played very good football. They still have a lot of quality in the team with very good players.
“It’s going to be a hard one but we are up to the task if we are at 100 per cent.”
The Verdict:
On paper, the Baggies can be a real threat.
Alex Palmer’s performance on Saturday was a real boost and will give the team plenty of confidence that he can step up and be a difference-maker once more, with Erik Pieters and Martin Kelly making a noticeable difference to their defence.
You feel they were lacking in this area when the transfer window shut – so to bring those two in after the deadline was a real boost and they also did well to bring in Tom Rogic.
He has come in to strengthen a decent-looking midfield with Okay Yokuslu, Jayson Molumby and John Swift all able to stand out in the division when on top form, with the latter able to be a real threat in the final third.
Jed Wallace is another player that needs to be monitored along with Grady Diangana, with the former’s deliveries and the latter’s ability on the ball able to cause real problems to most second-tier defences.
They may be missing Daryl Dike up top at this stage – but they still have Brandon Thomas-Asante who has made the step up well and others behind him can also contribute.
