Bristol City midfielder Morgan signs new one-year deal | OneFootball

Bristol City midfielder Ffion Morgan has signed a new one-year contract with the club according to reports on The Robins’ official website.

The 22-year-old Welsh international was one of a whole host of players to join Bristol City last summer following their relegation from the Barclays FA Women’s Super League. Morgan joined The Robins following a spell with their FA Women’s Championship rivals Crystal Palace.

Morgan went on to feature in 18 of Bristol City’s 22 matches in this season’s FA Women’s Championship while she contributed three goals. The player is an important member of Lauren Smith’s side and Bristol City have therefore moved quickly to agree fresh terms with Morgan.

After signing on again at The Robins’ High Performance Centre, Morgan said “I am over the moon to sign a new deal with this club, I love it here. I have built a great relationship with the rest of the squad and staff and I think that showed in my performances on the pitch this season.

“It was a fantastic experience for me to become a full-time professional this season and now I’m looking forward to getting another season under my belt and pushing on next season.

“We want to compete for promotion next season and that’s why I’m glad to sign a new deal at Bristol City as I believe my ambitions match those of the club.”
