The Robins announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
The 33-year-old joins Bristol City after leaving former club Chelsea at the end of last season. Ingle enjoyed two spells with the South West Londoners between 2012 and 2013 and from 2018 to 2025. The player made 214 appearances in all competitions for The Blues, scoring 12 goals. Ingle won 11 domestic trophies as a Chelsea player including five Barclays Women’s Super League titles.
On the international stage, Ingle has been capped by Wales on 142 occasions while she has scored six goals for her country. The player also represented Great Britain at the 2020 Olympic Games.
Ingle returns to Bristol City after previously representing the club between 2014 and 2015.
After sealing her return to Ashton Gate, Ingle said “After speaking to Charlotte [Healy] and everything that the club offers both on and off the pitch, it felt like a good fit. The club wants to get promoted and I love winning.
“It is going to be tough in this league, but I want to get back playing to the best I can and offer as much as I can for this team.”
Ingle is Bristol City’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window.
