Aaron Ramsdale has been called up to England’s Euro 2020 squad following an injury to Dean Henderson.

Henderson has picked up a hip issue which would continue to limit his involvement throughout the tournament, and has been forced to drop out of the squad.

Ramsdale, who was initially selected in Gareth Southgate’s provisional 33-man squad after an impressive end to the season, has now been called up to replace Henderson.

Ramsdale kept five clean sheets in the Premier League for Sheffield United last season, but his form towards the end of the campaign improved.

The 23-year-old ended up winning two Player of the Season awards, and his form clearly hasn’t gone unnoticed by Gareth Southgate.
