Riyad Mahrez scored two excellent goals as Algeria sealed their place at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations with a 4-1 win over Togo.
Gambia beat Benin 3-1 on Saturday meaning a win for Algeria in Lome would guarantee them a place in the top two in Group D.
Mahrez opened the scoring after 13 minutes with a super left-footed strike after Togo’s goalkeeper had come racing out of his goal.
Youcef Attal then made it 2-0 before the Manchester City winger added his second goal after 30 minutes – this time with his right foot.
Togo pulled a goal back but Baghdad Bounedjah completed the rout when he made it 4-1 in stoppage time.
Algeria will be joined at next summer’s tournament in Cameroon by Ivory Coast, who also booked their place on Sunday with a 1-1 draw with Guinea.
