Manchester City are looking to respond in the Premier League title race when they head down to Brighton.

Pep Guardiola’s side switched focus to retaining the FA Cup on Saturday and duly booked their spot in another final by defeating Chelsea at Wembley.

The champions would have watched on as Arsenal thumped Chelsea 5-0 to move four points clear while Liverpool lost 2-0 at Everton to remain a point clear, though City have two games in hand over their title rivals.

They travel to the south coast to play a Brighton team in pretty dire form after winning only one of their last six, albeit they remain a side packed with quality.

Brighton vs Man City is scheduled for an 8pm BST kick-off time tonight, Thursday, April 25, 2024.

Brighton vs Man City team news

Evan Ferguson, Billy Gilmour, James Miler and Adam Webster are all believed to be making progress in their returns from injury, although it’s not yet clear if this game will come too soon.

Kaoru Mitoma, Jack Hinshelwood and Solly March may be unlikely to play again this season. Tariq Lamptey and Pervis Estupinan are out too, along with Julio Enciso.

City, meanwhile remain without Erling Haaland after he did not play at Wembley following a muscle complaint.

The striker and Phil Foden missed training on Tuesday but the latter has been passed fit, along with John Stones.
