Brighton submit transfer bid for Flamengo defender Wesley Franca | OneFootball

Brighton and Hove Albion have submitted a bid for Flamengo full-back Wesley Franca, according to the Telegraph.

The Seagulls have reportedly offered around £20 million for the 21-year-old defender. Flamengo are open to selling him this summer.

Although Manchester City have also shown interest in Franca, they have not submitted a formal bid.

Chelsea were also linked with the defender, but they are not planning to strengthen in that position.

Franca is currently playing for Flamengo at the Club World Cup. He featured in the 3-1 win over Chelsea.

The right-back has earned two senior caps for Brazil and is ready to test himself in the Premier League.

The Flamengo man is known for his energy and aggressive style at right-back. He often drives forward with the ball and supports attacking plays.

His crossing needs improvement, but he is a threat in the final third and boasts a high shot-creation record.

Franca competes well in aerial battles and offers defensive stability on the right flank. He would add pace, versatility and attacking support to Brighton’s squad.
