Brighton retain interest in €15m-rated Maxime Lopez | OneFootball

French midfielder Maxime Lopez could be on the move from Sassuolo during the upcoming transfer window, with several clubs expressing their interest in securing his services. According to Fabrice Hawkins, Brighton & Hove Albion, who were already linked with Lopez in the winter, have still maintained their interest in signing the player in the summer.

Lopez’s performances in Italy have also caught the attention of clubs within the country. Serie A side Lazio are reportedly keen on acquiring the midfielder, while Napoli have also made inquiries about his availability.

Sassuolo, however, is hoping to secure a significant transfer fee for Lopez, setting their asking price at a minimum of €15 million.

Brighton’s interest in Lopez dates back to the winter transfer window, the Seagulls are keen to bolster their squad in midfield.

The side managed by Roberto De Zerbi are also already close to signing another midfielder in Dortmund’s Dahoud Mahoud on a free transfer as well as Liverpool’s James Milner, as reported by Fabrizio Romano and the Athletic respectively.
