Brighton have rejected an offer from Newcsatle United for Dan Burn.
The centre-back is the latest target for Magpies boss Eddie Howe, as he desperately attempts to shore up the team's rearguard to avoid relegation.
According to the Daily Mail, an £8 million offer was turned down by The Albion, who are not eager to lose the experienced defender.
However, the 29-year-old could yet make the move in the coming days, if Newcastle can substantially raise their offer.
The Magpies are also talking with Sevilla to try and find an agreement to sign Diego Carlos, as they wish to bring two centre-backs into the club before the transfer window closes.
