Brighton predicted lineup vs Leeds - Premier League

Brighton travel to Leeds United on Sunday on the back of their largest ever top-flight win last weekend.

The ebullient form of Graham Potter's side provides a striking contrast to the hostile atmosphere Brighton's own fans created after their reverse fixture with Leeds back in November. The final whistle of a 0-0 home draw prompted boos from the Amex crowd which left Potter "perplexed".

Fast forward less than six months and the Seagulls have already recorded the club's highest ever Premier League points tally with the chance to break their all-time top-flight record.

Here's the XI that Potter may deploy which, whatever the result, surely won't get the same treatment they scarcely deserved in November.

Brighton predicted lineup vs Leeds

1. 3-4-2-1

Robert Sanchez (GK) - The Spain international has never conceded a goal against Leeds United across three previous meetings.Joel Veltman (CB) - While Marc Cucurella's performances have (rightly) stolen many of the plaudits, his senior teammate has won back possession via a tackle or interception just once fewer than the enigmatic Spaniard this season.Lewis Dunk (CB) - The club captain has been part of Brighton and Hove Albion FC since joining their under-12s in 2003.Marc Cucurella (CB) - The mop-haired summer arrival has the chance to score in consecutive appearances for the first time in his senior career after netting the second in Brighton's thumping victory over Manchester United last weekend.Solly March (RWB) - Having played almost exclusively on the left flank for the previous two seasons, March's flexibility has been fully exploited by Potter's maniacal tinkering this term.Yves Bissouma (CM) - Brighton's widely admired midfielder is on the longest individual winning run of his Premier League career, triumphing in his past four outings on the spin.Moises Caicedo (CM) - While he doesn't have quite the same intricate history with Leeds as he boasts with Manchester United, the form of Caicedo individually and Brighton collectively may well allow him to replicate his performance against the Red Devils at Elland Road.Leandro Trossard (LWB) - The team's joint-top goalscorer (and outright leader for shots) hasn't had his attacking verve quelled by a nominally defensive starting position.Pascal Gross (RF) - Since joining the club in 2017, Gross has led the squad for chances created in each and every season, including the current campaign. No other Premier League player can lay claim to this boast over the same time period.Alexis Mac Allister (LF) - Brighton's Argentine number ten has matched the highest-scoring return in a single season across his top-flight career with five goals this term and with two games left to better that tally.Danny Welbeck (ST) - The goals may not be flowing quite so readily (one in his last 14 appearances) but at least Welbeck is racking up some much-needed, injury-free minutes (playing every second of Brighton's last three games).
