Brighton midfielder Solly March insists they can be positive in defeat to Manchester United.

March, 26, was Man of the Match and scored his first Premier League goal since netting against Chelsea in December 2018, when he made it 2-2 in the sixth minute of stoppage time. But incredibly, United snatched all three points thanks to a penalty by Bruno Fernandes with the last kick.

March also hit the inside of the post, one of five occasions when Albion were denied by the woodwork.

“It was probably my best performance but the way we pressed and drove forward as a team was excellent, so credit to everyone," said March.

“It was nice to get the goal. I had a few half-chances and I can't believe the one that came off the post didn't go in, but it is good to get in those positions. If I keep doing that I will score goals more regularly.

“The disappointment is quite high because we deserved a lot more but if we keep playing that we can get results in this league, even against the big clubs."
