Having finished the season with the best defence in the league – only 29 goals conceded across the campaign – Lens’ three-man backline has inevitably caught the eye of clubs from around the continent.
Although the Sang et Or will be looking to keep the bulk of their squad on board ahead of their Champions League group stage campaign next autumn, a move for centre-back Kevin Danso could already be on the cards, with clubs from Italy and the Premier League keen on the Austrian.
His defensive partner Facundo Medina could also be on the move, according to Foot Mercato. Specifically, Brighton and one unnamed club in England are fans of the Argentine, who was signed by the Ligue 1 club three years ago from Talleres. However, the 24-year-old – who has just been called up to the Argentina squad for this month – recently signed a contract extension until 2026, and it would take an exceptional offer for Lens to let go of him.
Since moving to the north of France, Medina has made just short of a century of appearances in the space of three campaigns – including 32 this season, chipping in with two goals as he played a key role in Franck Haise’s men missing out on the title by a solitary point.
