Brentford vs Manchester United may not be the most historic fixture in English football, but there have been some fantastic clashes between the sides in recent seasons.
Since the Bees were promoted to the Premier League in 2021, the two clubs have locked horns on five occasions, throwing up some interesting narratives in the process.
Here's how the recent encounters between the sides have panned out.

Man Utd's 2023/24 campaign hasn't gone to plan so far and it looked as if they were going to stumble to another underwhelming home defeat when Brentford visited Old Trafford in October.
Mathias Jensen put the visitors ahead in the first half and Erik ten Hag's side looked as if they had run out of time to salvage even a point from the encounter. However, super sub Scott McTominay, who had only come on in the 87th minute, found an equaliser with one of his first touches in the second minute of stoppage time.
But the Scotsman wasn't willing to settle for a point, producing a truly remarkable 96th-minute winner by converting Harry Maguire's header in an astonishingly late turnaround at Old Trafford.

There wasn't too much to separate Man Utd and Brentford during their Premier League meeting at the end of the 2022/23 season, but the Red Devils did secure what turned out to be an important win in the race for Champions League qualification.
Marcus Rashford produced the defining goal of the match to continue his remarkable goalscoring campaign, firing home from Marcel Sabitzer's header halfway through the first period.

One of Brentford's greatest ever results, the Bees were absolutely rampant against a woeful Man Utd side just two games into Ten Hag's reign. Thomas Frank's men extraordinarily found themselves four goals up at half-time, with David de Gea's blunder allowing Josh Dasilva the opener after ten minutes.
De Gea and former Brentford midfielder Christian Eriksen shared the blame for Jensen's goal that doubled the hosts' advantage, while Ben Mee powered home a header to make it three 15 minutes before the break.
Just five minutes later, Man Utd were sliced open again, with Bryan Mbeumo converting a wonderful counter-attack following Ivan Toney's inch-perfect pass. Utter humiliation for Ten Hag, but pure jubilation for the home crowd.

Under the unhappy reign of Ralf Rangnick, Man Utd found a little solace in a 3-0 victory over Brentford several weeks before the end of the season. Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring with a delightful effort, with compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo converting his spot kick in the second half.
Another former Real Madrid star in Raphael Varane grabbed a third - his first goal for United - but the result proved pretty meaningless in what was a disappointing season for the Red Devils.

The first ever Premier League clash between Brentford and Man Utd proved too much for the Bees despite some impressive displays against the big clubs at the Gtech Community Stadium. The two teams hadn't clashed since 1975, but it was the Red Devils who eased to victory.
Three second-half goals in just 22 minutes put the game beyond the Bees, who had tested De Gea regularly in the first period, with Toney only able to secure a consolation goal late on.
