Yehor Yarmoliuk Signs Long-Term Deal to Cement Brentford Future

Brentford have secured a major boost ahead of the new campaign with Yehor Yarmoliuk signing a long-term contract extension that keeps him at the club until the summer of 2031. The deal also includes an option for a further year, underlining the club’s confidence in his continued development under head coach Thomas Frank.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season at the Gtech Community Stadium, making 35 appearances across all competitions in 2024/25, including 31 in the Premier League. His consistent performances earned him a senior international debut for Ukraine against Belgium in March, marking a significant milestone in his young career.

Speaking after putting pen to paper, Yarmoliuk said, “I am very happy to sign a new contract with the first team. It just gives me more energy to work even harder. I’ve really enjoyed the season, starting in the Premier League and making my senior Ukraine debut. I’m so proud of myself and just want to keep going.

“You always need to have something to improve. I want to improve everything in my game to take myself and the team to the next level.

“It’s very important for me. I am so grateful to the club for this, and it gives me more confidence and enjoyment in playing football.”

Pathway from B Team to First Team

Yarmoliuk’s journey reflects Brentford’s faith in their B team model, with the midfielder progressing steadily through the system before becoming a regular first-team presence.

Thomas Frank was quick to praise both the player and the coaching staff involved in his development.

“I’m so pleased,” Frank said. “It’s another big success story for the B team. Neil MacFarlane and his team did a great job to get him ready for the first team. Now, he’s been in our first-team squad for two seasons where he’s had a good, natural development.

“Last year, he got minutes in more or less all the games; this year, he’s added another level.”

High Standards and Relentless Work Ethic

One of Yarmoliuk’s standout qualities, according to Frank, is his dedication on the training ground. The midfielder has built a reputation at Brentford for his high intensity and consistent application, characteristics that are often hallmarks of players who go on to thrive in the Premier League.

“The good thing with Yehor is that he’s one of the best trainers. He trains hard and with good intensity, that’s the best way to get into the team,” Frank added.

His attitude appears to have made a significant impression on the Brentford coaching staff, with his long-term deal seen as a reward for both performance and potential.

Strategic Move for Brentford’s Future

Brentford’s decision to tie down Yarmoliuk until 2031 is also a statement of intent. As the club looks to strengthen its core of young talent capable of competing in the top flight, ensuring the continuity of key prospects like Yarmoliuk is vital.

With his technical ability, international experience and increasing influence in midfield, Yarmoliuk is well placed to become a central figure in Thomas Frank’s plans over the coming seasons.

His commitment signals both trust in the club’s vision and a shared ambition to compete at the highest level.

Yehor Yarmoliuk’s contract extension is a major endorsement of Brentford’s developmental model and a clear indicator of the trust placed in him by Thomas Frank. For a club that prides itself on shrewd talent management and long-term planning, this deal aligns perfectly with their strategic vision.

With a full season of Premier League experience and his first senior international cap now under his belt, Yarmoliuk’s next chapter promises to be just as compelling.
