It was Manor Solomon who finished headed in from close range, netting his fifth goal in five games.
Into the second half and it wasnāt long before Brentford were ahead again as Ivan Toney netted from the penalty spot after Issa Diopās foul in the area.
The win was secure for the hosts with five minutes to go as Mathias Jensen finished well from Kevin Schadeās cutback.
Marco Silvaās side did pull one back right at the death as Carlos Vinicius poked in but it wasnāt enough.
