Fulham travelled to Brentford this evening looking to secure the three points that would take them above Newcastle in the table and level with Liverpool in fifth.

Thomas Frankā€™s side meanwhile came into this clash having not lost in the Premier League since they travelled to Aston Villa at the end of October.

Ivan Toney had the gameā€™s first real chance after only four minutes as his smart effort was turned around the post by Bernd Leno.

Then it was Bryan Mbuemoā€™s turn to go close as the Bees striker somehow missed the target with the goal at his mercy.

And after only six minutes the home side were ahead as Ethan Pinnockā€™s finish deflected off Tim Ream and into the back of the net.

Frankā€™s men were in complete ascendency but against the run of play, Fuhlam grabbed an equaliser with six minutes of the half to go.

It was Manor Solomon who finished headed in from close range, netting his fifth goal in five games.

Into the second half and it wasnā€™t long before Brentford were ahead again as Ivan Toney netted from the penalty spot after Issa Diopā€™s foul in the area.

The win was secure for the hosts with five minutes to go as Mathias Jensen finished well from Kevin Schadeā€™s cutback.

Marco Silvaā€™s side did pull one back right at the death as Carlos Vinicius poked in but it wasnā€™t enough.
