Brentford have opted for an internal hire as their new first team coach by announcing the appointment of Keith Andrews.
Both Sky Sports and the BBC have revealed that Andrews will be the new Bees boss ahead of an official statement later on Friday.
The Bees have spent several weeks assessing options to replace Thomas Frank after he exited for Tottenham Hotspur following a seven-year spell.
It is the former Republic of Ireland international's first lone head coaching role, having been promoted from his previous position as Brentford's set-piece coach.
Additionally, Andrews was on his country's coaching staff at both U21 and senior level.
The 44-year-old, who was linked with the MK Dons job earlier this year, has beaten out reported competition from Kieran McKenna and Francesco Farioli for the role.
