Brentford manager Frank: Norgaard in same class as Liverpool midfielder Fabinho | OneFootball

Brentford manager Thomas Frank insists Christian Norgaard is in the same class as Liverpool midfielder Fabinho.

Joining Brentford in 2019 from Italian side Fiorentina, the midfielder has seemingly drawn comparisons with fellow Dane and Liverpool legend Jan Molby since making the step up this season.

Now, Frank has heaped more praise on Norgaard, insisting he would be able to fit into Liverpool's midfield and do a similar job to Fabinho.

Frank claimed: “I'm very very pleased that he's playing for Brentford because I think if you took him out of our team and put him into Liverpool and changed the two players, Fabinho and him, I don't think you'd see much difference."

On comparisons with Molby, Frank added: “I think I need to go home to double check some of my YouTube videos on Jan.

“To be fair to Jan Molby I think he at his peak was one of the best players in midfield in Europe.

“I don't think Christian is there, yet. I think Christian, I know he's 27, but I think he's a late bloomer."
