Brentford have failed with a bid for CSKA Moscow attacker Nikola Vlasic.

AC Milan are also interested in Vlasic and CSKA want €30m to sell.

But the Russians are also willing to consider a loan offer with an obligatory purchase option.

A move to Brentford would mean a return to the Premier League for Vlasic. The midfielder has been playing for CSKA since 2018 - first on loan from Everton, then in 2019 the army team bought the midfielder for a record €15.7m.

As an Everton player, Vlasic played 19 games, scoring once and producing two assists. Contracted to CSKA until 2024, last season Vlasic played 34 games, scoring 12 goals and producing six assists. The Croatia international also was involved in all four of his nation's Euro 2020 games this summer.
