Brentford has confirmed two players who will depart the club this summer.

Ben Winterbottom and Ben Mee will leave on 30 June once their contracts expire.

Josh Dasilva is under contract until 30 June but will continue to work on his recovery at Robert Rowan Performance Centre over the summer.

He last featured for the Bees on 31 January 2024 after suffering a significant knee injury in training, which he underwent surgery on the following month. We will provide another update on the midfielder in due course.

Mee made 67 appearances and scored five goals after joining the Bees on a free transfer in July 2022.

In his first season at the club, he missed just one game as the west Londoners ended the Premier League season in ninth. He was named Brentford Supporters’ 2022/23 Player of the Year in recognition of his impressive performances.

The former Burnley defender made 18 appearances last term and scored in victories over Luton Town and Nottingham Forest, before making a further 11 outings this campaign, starting in each round of the Carabao Cup.

Winterbottom joined Brentford B from Liverpool in January 2021 and was a regular trainer with the first team, before being permanently promoted last summer.

The keeper was loaned to National League South outfit Welling United during the 2023/24 term and kept two clean sheets in 14 appearances.

He played in the National League for Fylde this season, featuring 41 times and keeping six clean sheets, as the Coasters were unsuccessful in their battle against relegation.

Mads Roerslev (Wolfsburg), Frank Onyeka (Augsburg), Myles Peart-Harris (Swansea City), Matthew Cox (Crawley Town), Jayden Meghoma (Preston North End), Ellery Balcombe (Motherwell) and Ryan Trevitt (Exeter City) have all returned to Brentford from their respective loans.

B-team players Michael Olakigbe (Chesterfield Town), Tony Yogane (Exeter), Ashley Hay and Val Adedokun (both at Cheltenham Town) have also returned to west London upon the end of their loan spells.
