Brentford boss Thomas Frank is delighted with the impact of on-loan West Ham defender Winston Reid.
The Kiwi helped the Bees get their automatic promotion push back on track with a 3-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday.
Frank said: “He showed why we got him on loan, why we needed an extra experienced guy in there when needed and he stepped up and did very well. He was a giant. He gave a lot of calmness to the team."
Brentford are second in the Championship, seven points behind leaders Norwich.
Reid said: “When you lose three games in a row it is human nature to feel a little bit down. We wanted to bounce back and I thought we put in a good performance against a good team. We showed the right attitude from the beginning."
