The Brazilian attacker was interviewed after the cup clash

Brenner scored his first Udinese goal against Avellino as his side cruised to a 4-0 win. Here’s what the Brazilian had to say after the match:

“I’m happier for the team than for myself. It wasn’t an easy goal. It’s great to play alongside [Florian] Thauvin – he’s a World Cup winner and a top player. Everyone loves playing with him and we always work on moves in training.

“Last season was really challenging, being out injured for six months. I’ve had a full pre-season and the boss has shown a lot of belief in me. I’ve worked hard.

“It’s great that we’ve got such a top squad – we hope to have a good season. I’ll fondly remember this day – the day I got my first Udinese goal.”
