Brendan Rodgers brushed off the boos of the Leicester faithful that greeted his decision to substitute Ademola Lookman during Saturday’s draw with Burnley.

Lookman, who is on loan from RB Leipzig, was replaced by James Maddison in the 78th minute with the Foxes still 2-1 down.

Jamie Vardy would equalise five minutes from time with his second of the game, but that was after some in the King Power Stadium had voiced their disapproval of Rodgers’ call.

The Northern Irishman felt that Lookman was tiring, but refused to criticise the supporters’ reaction.

“I’ve been here nearly two-and-three-quarter-years, that’s probably the first time the fans have booed, so I’ll take that after that period of time,” he said, per Leicestershire Live.

“I would never judge supporters on airing their feelings in the stadium, that’s part of the decision making as a manager.

Leicester, who were expected to be one of the biggest dangers to the ‘top four’ this season, currently find themselves in 13th place after six games.
