Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers is looking to further endear himself to fans at Parkhead by poaching Callum McGregor this summer.
Rodgers left the Scottish Premier League champions in acrimonious circumstances earlier this year to take charge of Leicester, right in the midst of Celtic’s bid to become treble-treble winners.
That left a sour taste in the mouths’ of Bhoys fans but a story in the Leicester Mercury on Friday could make that taste even worse.
They say that Rodgers is keen on McGregor this summer, with the Foxes willing to pay €20m to land the 26-year-old, who has become a key part of the Celtic starting XI over the past few seasons.
That would ordinarily be enough to land the midfielder but there are suggestions that Celtic will bump up McGregor’s price considering the bidder.
