AS Monaco manager Philippe Clement has confirmed that Breel Embolo (26), Malang Sarr (24) and Ruben Aguilar (29) will all be absent for the fixture against FC Lorient on Sunday.
All were out of last weekend’s draw against FC Nantes, however, it was expected that one, or both, would be fit for this weekend’s Ligue 1 fixture. Aguilar has been suffering from discomfort in his adductors, whilst Sarr missed the last match through illness.
Neither will be fit to face Nantes. Embolo is also out. It is unclear how long the Swiss striker will be absent for, but in a press conference, attended by Get French Football News, Clement said, “Breel’s recovery is going well. He needs to do more things to play matches, and we mustn’t force things. He’s very motivated. We’ll see in the coming weeks how that evolves. For now, he’s coming back quicker than everyone thought.”
