Romelu Lukaku will undergo a medical with Inter tomorrow ahead of a €78 million move from Manchester United, according to Sky Sport.
The clubs reached an agreement earlier today after Inter offered €65m plus €13m in bonuses, plus a percentage of any future transfer fee.
Inter have secured the deal verbally and must now exchange paperwork with United before the final formalities are completed.
United have given Lukaku permission to travel to Italy and the striker could arrive in Milan as early as tonight.
Antonio Conte has made it clear from the start of the summer that he wanted Lukaku to spearhead his new-look attack.
It now seems certain that Inter’s new boss will get the chance to work with the Belgian international, having already tried to sign him once while at Chelsea.
Lukaku has been training with his former club Anderlecht in Belgium this week, failing to report back for duty with United on Tuesday.
His agent Federico Pastorello has worked tirelessly throughout the day in London to secure a deal on Inter’s behalf, and at last he has succeeded.
Juventus wanted to snatch Lukaku away from Inter and seemed close to doing so last weekend, as they moved towards a swap deal with Paulo Dybala.
However, Dybala’s decision to reject the Red Devils’ advances led to the deal falling through, thus allowing Inter to win the race.
