The goalkeeping situation at City has been a topic of hot discussion throughout the window, with James Trafford returning from Burnley and back-up Stefan Ortega consistenly being linked with a move away.

However, it is the long-standing and legendary Ederson who has left after eight seasons as Pep Guardiola' no.1, a time in which he won six Premier League titles, the Champions League and several other domestic honours. The 32-year-old made 372 appearances for the club.

As for Donnarumma, the 26-year-old becames surplus to requirements in dramatic fashion at PSG following Lucas Chevalier's arrival from Lille, and leaves Paris after 161 appearances and countless trophies, including last season's Champions League title.

The Italian is set to make his debut for City in a hotly-anticipated Manchester derby on Sunday, September 14.
